And it’s not gonna stick around. But we’ve been loving the 50-degree days this week, with a few more to come, may even hit 60!
Snow melted off my little hillside garden patch, but no sign of daffodils yet. Though I check every hour or so, just in case
Still trying to coax teh raven in to teh feeder; he’s actually landed below teh porch on driveway a cpl times. Very cool tracks, segmented toes, got me all excited because at first I mistook them for turkey prints.
But teh two magpies are daily visitors– they loved leftover curry dip– and the gray jay is still here, robins come & go, and teh loyal Steller’s jays, pine grosbeaks, chickadees, juncos, and red-breasted nuthatches keep us busy shoveling out more peanut butter & seeds.
Winter skies are fantastic, been having fun watching Venus get bolder as she rises in teh sky. METEOR SHOWER TONIGHT (late late: as in, wee hrs of tomorrow morning), can’t wait! Though probably will snore right through it.
Here’s sunrise this morning.

It was 63° here this weekend! Almost too warm to knit with wool, but not quite “shorts weather” yet.
Same deal here– down to 9 teh other night, but now feels like about 45, total heat wave.
No wonder I’m now looking at cotton/silk/linen yarn….
You see teh Broncos game? Nice win. GO PACKERS!!!! Who’s your $ on for Superbowl?
I really like the Pack for the Super Bowl, but I’m on Team Houston for the AFC. I like a good underdog story.
But right now we’re in the middle of hockey season (“Let’s Go, Flyers”) and, look! The Sixers are off to a 6-2 start. Time to break ‘em up.
